Test Engineer II
Job Description - This position has the responsibility andauthority to develop strategies, create and perform verification &validation activities for software and systems to ensure Medtronic's cutting-edge medical products meet our user's needs and our quality andreliability standards.
This position requires application of technical expertise to determine and develop approaches to solve complex technical problemswith ingenuity and creativity.
Work is performed under limited direction.

A Day in the Life o Responsiblefor plans, schedules and equipment required for testing including exam/tool/fixture/phantom design.
o Compilesdata and defines changes required in test equipment, testing procedures, manufacturingprocesses, or new testing requirements.
o Frequentuse and application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts, andtechniques.
o Responsiblefor verification and validation of new or changed products including generatingplans, protocols and reports for testing performed.
o Create,develop and maintain test software.
o Ensurestest equipment is in good working order and calibrated, as necessary.
o Coordinatesand oversees the testing of equipment and product at outside test facilities.
o Setsup and develops test tracking, monitoring and data recording systems.

o Design,implement and/or execute automated testing.
o Identify and implement process improvements.
