The Sr.
Product Manager - Cranial Navigation, Downstream is an essential member of the Medtronic Enabling Technology Marketing team, reporting to the Sr.
Director of Marketing.
In this position, you will play a key role in scoping and executing upon the overall commercialization strategy for the StealthStation Cranial product line, focusing on the sales readiness and customer communication.
Your primary role is to be the creative lead for messaging strategy, competitive positioning and product launch.
The Sr.
Product Manager will demonstrate a strong understanding of the customer's primary motivations and clinical needs when purchasing large capital products in Cranial Surgery.
You will create powerful messaging and stories that clearly articulate the value proposition of Cranial Navigation.
You'll define competitive position strategies and messaging to illustrate the Medtronic products' differentiated stories, features and benefits.
And you will lead and create launch plans both major and minor product launches.
Enabling Technologies is part of Cranial & Spinal Technologies (CST).
CST is redefining cranial and spinal procedures to reduce variability and improve outcomes with the goal of restoring long-term quality of life for more patients.
We are the first company to offer an integrated solution that includes artificial intelligence-driven surgical planning, personalized spinal implants, and robotic-assisted surgical delivery to make patient care more customized.
A Day in the LifeResponsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
Cultivate deep understanding of customer needs, competitive dynamics, and market opportunities Create the product messaging and positioning strategy for the capital sales team.
Be the primary storyteller and content creator for the Cranial Navigation product line, empowering the sales team to effectively message products to brain surgeons and hospital decision makers.
Work with Upstream Marketing, Sales Ops, Regulatory, Clinical, and Legal to refine messaging and strategy.
Lead launch efforts for new products and line extensions.
Create and execute communication plans and promotion strategy.
Identify customer segments and create targeted prioritization.
Present to various audiences, including customers, sales, and other internal audiences.
Must be a compelling and dynamic speaker with the ability to inspire and persuade critical audiences.
Conduct sales training specifically focusing on product and competitive positioning for Stealth Cranial.
Collaborate with Medical Education and Sales Insight Boards on content, material creation, education strategy for diverse sales force needs.
Work with International Marketing to enable and empower global sales readiness.
Work with Upstream on VOC collection post product launch for future product improvement.
Provide global society trade show and locally hosted programs support.
Utilize the opportunity at these events to gain customer mindshare through promotional messaging tools and event programs.
Create competitive differentiation tools for sales presentations.
Engage with customers during strategic sales events to highlight Medtronic product benefits over competition.
Work with Upstream Marketing to identify competitive gaps in product portfolio.
Work with Sales Ops and Demand Planning to ensure product forecast is current and based upon realistic predictive analysis.
Travel is estimated at 25% but will flex depending on business need Must Have:
Minimum Requirements Bachelors degree required Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience Nice to Have Medical device marketing Surgical navigation/robotics product experience, preferably in cranial / neurosurgery space General surgical procedural knowledge in cranial / neurosurgery Product marketing with launch experience Demonstrated success delivering results within a matrixed environment Proven success leading major initiatives Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills; ability to convey complex information in a simple and effective manner Advanced analytical skills (market trends, financials, etc) About MedtronicTogether, we can change healthcare worldwide.
