is hiring a disciplined Sales Tax Accountant to work out of our regional office in Henderson, Colorado.
You will report to our Senior Manager, Treasury & Reporting and collaborate with our internal Sales and Finance teams while engaging with external institutions to successfully deliver on documentation and reporting related to state taxes, account reconciliations and financial analysis.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING Manage administration and filing of Colorado State sales, use & property tax submissions, business-related licenses and utilities Track Tax Exempt Certificates and Building Permits for individual projects Maintain and review prepaid balance records to ensure proper set up and processing of month-end amortization entries Oversee administration and internal reporting of company credit cards including correspondence to cardholders, coding errant expenses and uploading Smart Data files Support, review and complete general ledger reconciliations and balance sheet analysis, investigate and resolve account discrepancies Assist with the preparation and analysis of month-end reporting packages to management and monthly/quarterly/year-end financial statements Prepare analysis of key financial metrics and financial variances Provide support to external financial and tax auditors to address information requests and documents Ensure adherence to finance process and controls, with an emphasis on continuous process improvements and gaining efficiencies through automation Ad hoc financial analysis and other duties as required by direct reporting manager WHAT WE WOULD LIKE FROM YOU Competencies Strong knowledge of Colorado State sales tax; current knowledge of sales and use tax laws, regulations, and rules is required Experience directly dealing with individual municipalities on behalf of a corporation Knowledge of ASPE Strong knowledge of internal controls framework and testing processes Excellent verbal and written communication skills with highly developed interpersonal skills Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Advanced Excel skills Ability to work in fast paced environment Experience and Education 3
years' relevant Colorado sales tax accounting experience Post-secondary education with specialization in Accounting, Finance or Business A CPA designation is preferred, but not required Experience in construction/manufacturing/mining is an asset Knowledge in the use of Oracle Cloud and related reporting tools Compensation Range:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
